An Important Update About the Future of CBDUCK
A change in federal law is scheduled to take effect on November 12, 2026, that could make full-spectrum CBD products like ours no longer legal to sell as hemp products.
For years, federal law has defined hemp primarily by its concentration of THC. Under legislation passed by Congress in November 2025, finished hemp-derived cannabinoid products will instead be limited to no more than 0.4 milligrams of total THC per container beginning November 12, 2026.
That is an extraordinarily small amount. Because genuine full-spectrum hemp extracts naturally contain trace amounts of THC along with CBD and the plant’s other naturally occurring constituents, conventional full-spectrum CBD products generally cannot meet this new limit.
CBDUCK has always made full-spectrum products from hemp that we grow on our mountain farm because we value the whole-plant extract and the naturally occurring complexity of the plant. We do not make intoxicating hemp products, synthetic cannabinoids, delta-8 products, or high-THC products. Unfortunately, the new federal definition does not adequately distinguish products like ours from the intoxicating hemp products that Congress was attempting to address.
Unless the law changes before November 12, we expect that we will have to stop selling our existing full-spectrum CBD products as hemp products at that time.
There are efforts underway in Congress to change the law before it takes effect, and we are following those efforts closely. We will continue making and selling our products legally for as long as the current law permits, and we will update our customers as we know more.
